Callaway Gardens Sprint Triathlon

If my elbow recovers and I can get some swim training in, I'm considering entering the Callaway Gardens Mini Triathlon this summer. 500 yd swim, 10 mile bike ride, 2 mile run. Could be a good start for me if I stay healthy, elbow heals and I stay on track with my weight loss and training.

Joe and Vicki - G'day from Brisbane, AUS! I've just read the entire blog and I feel caught up on the last 8 years or so, at least to a small extent...

I'm motivated Joe - pretty inspirational really - I'm trying to reduce about 20 kg (45 lbs) myself, reached 100 kg (220 lbs) late last year and took up cycling. Because I still travel so much, it's hard to keep up but when I get a decent stretch at home, the pounds fall off - I do about 30km/4 days per week. Have to wake up between 3.30-4 to do it, but it has to be done. Like you, i'd like to get in the realm of my Navy weight and do so by my 40th which is in July!
Maybe we can be virtual training partners - think about how we might get that going!
All the very best to Vicki and the beautiful girls - nice work :-) You can find us at the following web address www.myspace.com/daviscrew_downunder

I don't update it as often as I should, but there are some snaps there. Cheers Joe - Keith, Chantal, Kayleah (13 in May), Canon & Kobe (6 just last week!)
